There are plenty of figures, numbers and statistics about marriage and divorce, some of them even more conflicting than an arguing couple.
To know the truth, you only need to know these two statistics about divorce:
- The divorce rate would be 100% of marriages if people didn’t sometimes die before they get a chance to file their liberating petition for divorce.
- 100% of people who file for divorce regret that they haven’t done so much earlier.

Ha, ha , ha, the cartoon on your german side is lightyears more funny than the english one.
You HAVE to translate it and stick it to your english post.
My only comment about the statistics is the usual “Never trust a statistic survey that you have not manipulated yourself”.
cheers
Michael
My first wife was a “housekeeper”. Did she clean people’s houses? No, she cleaned just my house…. She cleaned it so well, that after the divorce she kept the keys to the house. A housekeeper, the one who sues for 100% and she wins, if the judge is a feminist. This is why there is a competition among men to fly to Mars mission.

And this is why I will get married when I am 50 years old. So the marriage will only last a few years before either of us die.
But why commit this folly at all?
Just saying if I ever wanted that in my life…. I would do it at that age…. let’s not call it getting married but to settle down.
