Why the embargo against Cuba will be eased

Obama smelling cigarI am glad to see that I am not the only one who appreciates cigars.

  1. My parents (who never, ever travel) took a retirement trip to Europe a couple of months ago. My dad was super excited that he could buy Cuban cigars abroad, but when coming home he “felt guilty” about not declaring them–so he did and they got confiscated. If only he’d waited a few more months (or lied on his customs form, like everyone else)…

    • Oh, poor him! But respect for being honest.

I always wonder what the customs do with all those cigars. I bet they have really nice get-togethers on weekends.

As a cigar smoker, I also think Cuban cigars are hyped too much. Most of them are quite good, but so are most Dominican, Nicaraguan, Mexican and even Italian cigars. My favorite Latin American cigars are “Te Amo” from Mexico. Maybe your Dad would enjoy them as well. ;-)
