Opening Times

During my walk along Hadrian’s Wall I came across a place where I hoped to get some food and my early morning Coca Cola. It was around 8 in the morning, but I had already been walking for a few hours and was hungry.

The place was closed and the information in the window didn’t help much:

I waited a bit, but it was a lonely and forlorn place, it was cold and it began to rain. So I had to continue my walk before I could find out who these people were who valued humour more than business.

Well if nothing else, the note is honest I suppose! Made me chuckle too!!! Happy walking!

  3. I’m sure you didn’t think it funny at the time, but glad you took the photo and shared it.

  4. Once I saw a shop in Burano that had a sign saying:
    “I open when I arrive,
    I close when I go.
    If we did not meet,
    Perhaps it was fate.”
    :-D
