Isn’t that a beautiful place? (Part 1)

beautiful forestI am going to write about my walk to that forest in a week or so, but in the meantime I’d like you to guess where it is. If someone gets it right, you will win a prize of my choosing.

UPDATE: The mystery has been solved.

I don’t know where it is, but you certainly are correct about it being beautiful!

    Looks beautiful, is it Scotland?

Its typical lithuanian pine forest. Such forest grow in sands near the Baltic sea ( in Jurmala in Latvia too), around Druskininkai or to the north- east from Vilnius. Maybe it is near Nida in Curonian Spit?

    • It’s not in Nida or on the Curonian Spit, although there are very beautiful pine forests indeed. I was there a few weeks ago when everything as still covered by snow.

Gaujas nacionalais parks in Latvia :).

I’m guessing what is that construction on the right edge of the photo… .
And if it is not a seaside, it’s too sparse to be a genuine forest, it’s not a forest. Somewhere near your current home, there is plenty of such corners, say from the railway to Neris river, and actually everywhere :) . It’s matter of skills to catch a nice composition, and you already proved many times that you can make a piece of art out of anything :D .

    • You are the first person to notice the tiny bit of construction which I so carefully tried to hide. But no, it’s not anywhere near my place in Vilnius.
Thanks for the compliment! I am actually happy that nobody is guessing it right. If it continues like that, it will be quite a revelation in a few days.
