As you know, I am currently studying both Economics and Philosophy. Besides the insurmountable workload that results from such a combination, it also poses the – much less serious – question about which student style I should adopt:
Not that I would ever do what people expect from me, but you are welcome to take a vote about which style you prefer:
Until then, I will try to combine these two styles, which will look something like this:

Ye Gods! Go the philosopher route! I used to have to wear suits to program mainframe computers. (No, I don’t know why I had to look formal when I was locked away in the bowels of various buildings.) Burn the suit! :D
(Okay, you can keep it for proper occasions, but DO go for the philosopher look!)
I like the combination of both, neither too capitalist company man, nor too hipsterically out of touch. The word “involved” comes to mind in the third hybrid possibility.
A true combination of your economist & philosopher style might in fact look a bit like him. So I vote for the philosopher, but without beard ;-)
That is a scary thought indeed!
You convinced me: I’ll shave every morning.
The Economist. Definitely the Economist! :)
City economists rarely wear suits nowadays.
Go with the philospher style.
Beard looks good too.
your good
Mix is the best :)
Hm. Very inconclusive: Today, the Economist style and the Philosopher style are at exactly 36.36 % each.
The econimist suits you much better. Even a shaved civilized man can be a philosopher ;-). For leisure time habit & outfit of your cigarillo pic seem to be the best choice.
To sum it up: forget your philospher cover style, renounce the beard for we have enough weired and dangerous bearded folks nowadays and keep yourself smart and handsome as you are.
Best wishes und schöne Grüße aus Wien, Os
Ps: sehr lässiger Blog!
Since there’s a numerical tie, and a number of “go for both”, how about the shaven philosopher? Besides, you don’t want your cigars to accidentally torch your goatee, no? ;)
(And no matter what, please, STAY AWAY FROM THE SUIT!!) :D
I think you mixed them up.
